Simon Joseph James is a London based Guitarist, Pianist, Vocalist, Songwriter, Performer and Teacher. He works as a session musician and performs regularly with his band The Lost Society. He studied at Manchester University and the London Centre for Contemporary Music as well as taking time out to Study Flamenco Guitar in Granada, Spain.
As well as performing in musicals Simon has toured with Take That, Natasha Bedingfield and Sophie Ellis Bextor. Songwriting is his principle discipline and Simon released his debut solo record last year through his own label Smoking Barrel Recordings. His style is a blend of Country and Blues with a hint of Latin and takes it's influences from roots music and the likes of Neil Young and Eddie Vedder.
In addition Simon teaches Guitar, Bass, Piano and Studio Technology through the Richmond Music Trust, Camden Music Service and the Online Music Institute as well as co organising the Camden Youth Orchestra four times a year. He runs the Guitar website:
